Artek Engineering Pty Ltd would like to offer a complete range of Thermal Probe Detectors (TPD). TPD operate on the rate anticipation principle. They are designed to actuate whenever the ambient temperature reaches the pre-set alarm temperature setting, regardless of the speed or rate of temperature rise. Under rapid heat rise conditions, the rate anticipation feature enables the detector to respond one to three degrees ahead of the setting. At the same time, however, it does not respond to momentary temperature fluctuations below the selected alarm level thus minimizing potential false alarms. When the temperature drops back down below the alarm level, the detector automatically resets itself.
FEATURES
Easy installation.
Rate anticipation, rate of rise & fixed temperature models.
Two temperature ratings
Self restoring (select models).
Explosion & weatherproof models.
Compatible with other indication and initiation devices on same circuit.
PRODUCT RANGE
TPD are normally open devices and are available in either 57°C (135°F) or 90°C (194°F) ratings. Each unit is constructed with a high expansion 0.040 anodized aluminum sensing shell and fine silver contacts, which are hermetically sealed to ensure reliable operation and are suitable for use in ambient temperatures down to -40°C (-40°F). Electrical Rating is 6-28 VDC, 1 Amp for all models.
APPLICATIONS
Marine vessels, motor vehicles, buses, mines, switchgears, transformers, electric cabinets, motor controls, dust collectors, cooling towers, garages, etc.
